TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – LANCE J. CHERAMIE
LABADIEVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Lance J. Cheramie, 37, of 345 East 40th Street, Cut Off, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic incident on LA 308 near Labadieville. A uniformed patrol officer drove upon an SUV pulling a loaded trailer when a portion of the load came off.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Lance J. Cheramie and proceeded to interview the individual. That interview prompted the deputy to request consent to search the vehicle which was granted.
During the search, the deputy seized quantities of methamphetamine and suboxone.
Lance J. Cheramie was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Suboxone
*Driver Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Failure to Secure Load
*Resisting an Officer
Lance J. Cheramie remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
