TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS, CALEB ANTHONY BAUGH
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Caleb Anthony Baugh, 25, of 1771 Highway 654, Gheens, LA., on felony drug law violations arising out of a Tuesday evening traffic stop south of Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA-308 commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Caleb Anthony Baugh and conducted an officer/violator interview.
The deputy observed conditions consistent with illegal drug activity. At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy felt as though additional investigation was warranted.
Caleb Anthony Baugh consented to a search of his vehicle. During that process, a quantity of methamphetamine was seized along with drug paraphernalia.
Caleb Anthony Baugh was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Speeding 70 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone
Caleb Anthony Baugh remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
