TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Clint Adam Landry, 45, of 433 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA; Armand J. Metrejean, 48, of 118 Derrick Street, Pierre Part, LA and Ruth Ann Moreno, 46, of 225 Philly Court, Covington, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop in Pierre Part early Tuesday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle in the 400 block of Shell Beach Road with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Armand J. Metrejean and initiated an officer/ violator interview.

The deputy then proceeded to interview two passengers, namely Clint Adam Landry and Ruth Ann Moreno. During a warrants check, it was determined that Clint Adam Landry was wanted by the Morgan City Police Department on multiple charges. Clint Adam Landry was arrested.

At the conclusion of all interviews, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted and requested consent to search the vehicle.

During the search, deputies recovered drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Both Armand J. Metrejean and Ruth Ann Moreno were arrested. All three suspects were booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:

-As to Clint Adam Landry, he was charged on counts of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Fugitive – Morgan City Police Department

Clint Adam Landry remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

-As to Armand J. Metrejean, he was charged on counts of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Expired Driver’s License
*Improper Equipment

Armand J. Metrejean remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

-As to Ruth Ann Moreno, she was charged on counts of:
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Methamphetamine

Ruth Ann Moreno remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
