TRAFFIC STOP – FELONY DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST
MISAY CHANDAKHAM
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Misay Chandakham, 47, of 3011 Vientiane Street, Broussard, LA, on multiple felony drug law violations arising from a traffic stop on LA 398 west of Labadieville on Thursday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Misay Chandakham. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview. It was determined that Misay Chandakham was driving under a suspended driver’s license. At the end of the interview, the deputy concluded that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search process, quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized. Misay Chandakham was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Resisting an Officer (Providing a False Identification)
*Driver Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Speeding
Misay Chandakham remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
