TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – COURTNEY T. DAVIS

KLOTZVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Courtney T. Davis, 33, of 214 Houmas Street, Donaldsonville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a traffic incident in the vicinity of LA 1 and LA 1000 late Thursday night.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 1000 and attempted a traffic stop. The east bound vehicle turned south onto LA 1 at a high rate of speed with the deputy following.

At some point, the deputy was able to terminate the pursuit and take Courtney T. Davis into custody. Davis was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Driving On Roadway Laned for Traffic
*License Plate Light Required

Courtney T. Davis remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
