WARRANTS: DOMESTIC INCIDENT, PURSUIT – I.C.E. ARREST
AMYRION ANTHONY DUPATY
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Amyrion Anthony Dupaty, 20, of 135 Dorseyville Lane, Belle Rose, LA on multiple felony charges following a traffic incident turned pursuit on Friday evening near Paincourtville.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near LA 1 and LA 403 and attempted a traffic stop of that vehicle. The suspect driver accelerated, engaging the deputy in a pursuit situation. The deputy pursued the suspect vehicle through the Paincourtville area to the LA 70 and LA 70 Spur area and then back towards Daggs Street. The suspect vehicle crashed and the male driver, now identified as Amyrion Anthony Dupaty, fled on foot. Dupaty was captured a short time later in the area of the Dorseyville Recreation Park.
Deputies determined that Dupaty was driving the vehicle without the owner’s permission.
It was also determined that Amyrion Anthony Dupaty was wanted on felony charges related to a domestic incident which occurred on August 18, 2024. Dupaty is accused of striking a domestic partner who was pregnant during an argument causing injuries to the victim, then interfered with her ability to seek help.
Amyrion Anthony Dupaty was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Warrant – Domestic Abuse Battery Upon a Pregnant Victim
*Interfering with Emergency Communication
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Theft of a Motor Vehicle
*Driving Under a Suspended License
*Headlights Required
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
*Detainer Probation / Parole
Amyrion Anthony Dupaty remains incarcerated with bond set at $155,000. He was ordered held without bond on the probation / parole detainer.
