STATE, LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES PARTICIPATE IN TRAFFIC RELATED SYMPOSIUM AT TROOP C
NAPOLEONVILLE – On Tuesday morning, law-enforcement representatives throughout the Troop C area gathered in Gray, LA, to address impaired, aggressive, and inattentive driving as it relates to a series of fatal crashes in the area over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
During the period, a total of 20 people died in the state, the majority of those in the Troop C area.
During one evening, 7 people died in the area, 6 of those fatalities were people under the age of 25.
A huge factor was also the lack of seatbelt usage.
During Tuesday’s event, officials pledged resources to tackle the issues causing these crashes.
Additionally, the law-enforcement community will conduct a media relations campaign to educate the public as well as a robust enforcement program.
