AGGRAVATED ASSAULT UPON A POLICE OFFICER WITH A FIREARM

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Adam Guillory, 36, of 191 Elaine Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on charges related to a domestic incident on February 24, 2020.
The Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received information from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding Adam Guillory being in his home at the aforementioned address threatening to harm himself and any deputies who responded to the location. There were reports that Guillory and a female domestic acquaintance had gotten into a heated argument.
After confirming that Guillory was in the home, the S.W.A.T. Unit was mobilized. Sheriff’s Office negotiators had extensive conversation with Guillory and at some point, he agreed to surrender. Guillory was taken into custody. Investigating officers noted that Adam Guillory appeared to have consumed excessive amounts of alcohol.
During a search of the home, deputies recovered a large caliber rifle and a .12-gauge shotgun. Both were loaded.
Adam Guillory was examined by Acadian Ambulance personnel and then transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Adam Guillory was released from that facility and was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Wednesday on charges of:
*Disturbing the Peace by Intoxication
*Aggravated Assault Upon a Peace Officer with a Firearm
Adam Guillory was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
