ARMED ROBBERY WITH A FIREARM

17-YEAR-OLD JUVENILE, ALVIN FITCH, JR., JAMES V. HOWELL, JEDARRIUS J. BROWN

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of James Vincent Howell, II, 19, of 1900 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA and the filing of a verified complaint against a 17-year-old male juvenile from Bayou L’Ourse, LA, in connection with the armed robbery of an individual in the Bayou L’Ourse community on December 28, 2023.

Additionally, detectives have issued arrest warrants for Alvin Fitch, Jr., 18, of 411 Kidd Street, Morgan City, LA and Jedarrius J. Brown, 19, of Lafayette, LA, in connection with the same case.

On December 28, 2023, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported armed robbery of an individual in the Murial Street / LA 398 area. Responding deputies and detectives determined that two of the suspects were armed with guns while the other two suspects stole items from the victim.

Detectives were able to identify the 17-year-old juvenile, Alvin Fitch, Jr., James V. Howell and Jedarrius J. Brown as suspects. At the conclusion of the investigation, a verified complaint was filed against the juvenile on charges of armed robbery with a firearm. He was ordered held in continued custody.

James V. Howell was arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on January 18, 2024. Howell was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on January 19, 2024 and booked into the parish detention center on charges of:

*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles (Felony)
*Armed Robbery

Alvin Fitch, Jr. was arrested in Lafayette, LA on local charges there. Upon release from Lafayette Parish, Fitch will be booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Armed Robbery with a Firearm
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles

Detectives are searching for Jedarrius J. Brown on warrants charging him with:

*Armed Robbery with a Firearm
*Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Jedarrius J. Brown are urged to contact the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 369-2912. Jedarrius J. Brown should be considered armed and dangerous.

Jedarrius J. Brown has multiple tattoos, but more specifically, a number “7” in the front throat area.
