DISORDERLY COMPLAINT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of
Krystal Latino, 36, of 161 La Butte Street, Plattenville, LA, on felony drug charges arising out of a disorderly person complaint at a local retail establishment in Paincourtville.
Deputies were dispatched to the location and made contact with the complainant who advised that Krystal Latino had caused a disturbance at the establishment. Krystal Latino had left prior to deputies’ arrival.
A short time later, Krystal Latino was located near Plattenville. Upon investigating, the deputy observed Latino’s vehicle to be parked in a no parking zone.
Upon making contact with Krystal Latino, the deputy noted her to be acting in a nervous manner and was non-compliant. The deputy conducted a walk – around of Latino’s vehicle. The suspect consented to a search of the vehicle and during that process, deputies located drug paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine.
Krystal Latino was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Stopping, Standing or Parking Prohibited in Specific Places
Krystal Elizabeth Latino remains incarcerated with bond set at $30,000.
