DISTURBANCE – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM
ERIK RYAN BALLANCE, HAYLEIGH NICOLE MARTIN, LAITEN MICHELLE BERTRAND

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Erick Ryan Ballance, 22, of 901 Reserve Drive, Thibodaux, LA, Hayleigh Nicole Martin, 22, of 800 North Everett Street, Morgan City, LA and Laiten Michelle Bertrand, 18, of 2045 River Road, Berwick, LA on felony charges arising from an incident early Saturday morning in Bayou L’Ourse.

Deputies were dispatched to a location in the 1000 block of LA 662 in reference to a large disturbance.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered numerous individuals involved in a fight and did seize a firearm allegedly brandished during the incident.

Deputies identified Erik Ryan Ballance as the person who possessed and displayed the firearm during the incident.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Erik Ryan Ballance was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
*Disturbing the Peace

Erick Ryan Ballance was incarcerated and released on a $25,000 bond.

Hayleigh Nicole Martin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Principal to Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
*Disturbing the Peace

Hayleigh Nicole Martin was incarcerated and released on a $25,000 bond.

Laiten Michelle Bertrand was arrested on charges of:

*Principal to Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
*Disturbing the Peace

Laiten Michelle Bertrand was incarcerated and released on a $25,000 bond.
