DOMESTIC COMPLAINT – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
HARVEY J. TRUXILLO, III
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Harvey J. Truxillo, III, 54, of 107 Hwy. 403, Paincourtville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising out of a domestic / custody matter originating in Pierre Part on Sunday evening.
A deputy responded to a complaint at a residence in Pierre Part and made contact with the complainant who advised that her child’s father had conveyed a message through electronic means that he was on his way to pick up the child. The suspect, now identified as Harvey J. Truxillo, III, included a photo with the barrel of a firearm in his mouth. Based on that photo, deputies believed that Truxillo may be suicidal and or homicidal. Furthermore, deputies determined that Truxillo was a prior convicted felon.
In connection to the same complaint, deputies were in the Paincourtville area attempting to locate Truxillo at his home.
A surveillance unit observed a vehicle being driven by Truxillo drive up to his home. Deputies engaged Truxillo who became confrontational but were able to detain him. Truxillo was in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies then executed a search warrant on Truxillo’s home and vehicle and did seize the following: two firearms, ammunition, (from the vehicle) and suspected crack cocaine (from the vehicle).
Harvey J. Truxillo, III, was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Crack Cocaine
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon – 2 Counts
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Marijuana
*Resisting an Officer – 3 Counts
Harvey J. Truxillo, III was ordered held without bond pending a hearing.
