DOMESTIC INCIDENT – LAQUANDA L. TILFORD

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Laquanda L. Tilford, 23, of 807 Narrow Street, Thibodaux, LA, on felony charges related to a domestic incident at a location on Fir Street Thursday morning.

On Thursday morning, while conducting business checks, a uniformed patrol deputy was summoned by a passerby who indicated that a relative in her vehicle had been stabbed. The deputy made contact with the alleged victim who displayed what appeared to be a stab wound to a hip. The victim went by private vehicle to a nearby hospital.

The deputy initiated an investigation and was able to identify Laquanda L. Tilford as the suspect in the stabbing. It was also determined that Laquanda L. Tilford had slashed tires on the victim’s vehicle. It was further determined that the incident was in fact a domestic dispute. Deputies did recover a knife at the scene. There were minor children present during this altercation.

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies believed probable cause existed to arrest Laquanda L. Tilford and did apply for and were granted arrest warrants.

Laquanda L. Tilford was arrested at the scene and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment (Felony)
*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment (Misdemeanor)
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property

Laquanda L. Tilford was incarcerated and released on a $10,000 bond.
