DOMESTIC INCIDENT – JOEL VALLORY WESTMORELAND, II

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joel Vallory Westmoreland, II, 40, of 194 Simmons Road, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a domestic incident at a residence near Napoleonville, LA on Sunday evening.

Deputies were dispatched to the location and made contact with all parties involved including the suspect, now identified as Joel Vallory Westmoreland, II. Deputies interviewed all parties including the suspect as well as his domestic partner.

At the completion of the investigation, the evidence indicated that Joel Vallory Westmoreland, II, had been consuming alcohol and at some point, committed a battery upon a female companion. Another male individual interceded to try and calm the situation and Westmoreland struck him. There was also an infant child present when the incident occurred.

Joel Vallory Westmoreland, II was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

Joel Vallory Westmoreland, II remains incarcerated with bond set at $20,000.
