DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – MICHAEL SCOTT GANEL, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Michael Scott Ganel, Jr., of 169 Highway 401, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising out of a traffic incident north of Labadieville, LA.
A narcotics unit observed a vehicle north of Labadieville commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The agent made contact with the driver, now identified as Michael Scott Ganel, Jr. and conducted an officer / violator interview. Ganel had no driver’s license.
The agent noted actions consistent with illegal drug activity. At some point, the communications division advised the agent of outstanding warrants for the arrest of Michael Scott Ganel.
Shortly after the arrest of Ganel, a protective pat down search was conducted resulting in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine.
Michael Scott Ganel, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Illegal Window Tint
*Failure to Appear – (Assumption Parish) Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
Michael Scott Ganel, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
