DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – JAMES SMITH, JR.
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of James Smith, Jr., 46, of 314 Pelican Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony drug law violations arising from an investigative stop by Assumption Parish narcotics agents.
James Smith, Jr. was wanted on felony warrants charging him with drug law violations related to operation “Take a Ride”.
Agents conducted an investigation and determined that Smith was trafficking in illegal narcotics in Assumption Parish. As a result of that investigation, agents obtained warrants for the arrest of James Smith, Jr. in November of 2020. Smith remained at large until his arrest on Tuesday.
James Smith, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Distribution of Crack Cocaine
*Distribution of Marijuana
James Smith, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
