DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – DOMESTIC ABUSE – DISTURBANCE – CHARLES J. FAIR
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles J. Fair, 36, of 135 Matthew Street, Bertrandville, LA, on multiple felony charges as well as failure to appear warrants.
On Tuesday morning, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Pecan Street in Bertrandville in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant / victim who advised that Charles J. Fair had struck her in the head.
Deputies had prior knowledge that several warrants existed for the arrest of Charles Fair and that a protective order was valid which had been filed by the same victim in the current matter.
Deputies conducted a sweep of the Pecan Street residence and did locate Charles J. Fair. The suspect was taken into custody and was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
Charles J. Fair was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Violation of a Protective Order
*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Simple Assault
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish for Aggravated Second Degree Battery
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish for Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish for Possession, Manufacture, Production,
Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance
Charles J. Fair remains incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
