FAILURE TO APPEAR – MULTIPLE FELONIES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kenya Patterson, 30, of 509 Vera Lane, New Iberia, LA, on multiple failure to appear warrants for drug and gun law violations.
Kenya Patterson was arrested on April 26, 2020 following a traffic stop near Amelia. As a result of that stop, Kenya Patterson was arrested and incarcerated. Upon release on bond, Kenya Patterson was to appear in court on numerous occasions including May 26, 2022. Kenya Patterson failed to appear as ordered resulting in warrants being issued for his arrest on June 1, 2022.
On September 12, 2022, Kenya Patterson was arrested on the Assumption Parish warrants by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Kenya Patterson was transported to and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on charges of Possession of Heroin, Obstruction of Justice, Unlawful Production, Manufacturing, Distribution or Possession of Fraudulent Documents for Identification Purposes, Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon and Prohibited Acts-Schedule IV Narcotics
Kenya Patterson remains incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
