DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – TRAFFIC STOP
MARVIN T. SULLEN – RAYMOND BERNARD HARPER
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Marvin T. Sullen, 39, of 2184 Sauvage Road, Marrero, LA and Raymond Bernard Harper, 32, of 6305 4th Street Apartment 504, Marrero, LA, on felony charges arising from a Tuesday night traffic stop near Amelia.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop. As the stop was being conducted, the deputy noted the passenger to be tossing items out of the vehicle.
The deputy stopped the vehicle and made contact with the passenger, Raymond Bernard Harper as well as the driver, Martin T. Sullen.
During a computer check for warrants, it was determined that Sullen was wanted on a fugitive warrant from New Orleans, LA.
While doing a walk around near the vehicle, deputies located suspected marijuana. Additional marijuana was located in the vehicle.
Marvin T. Sullen was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Speeding (90/70)
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Fugitive Warrant – New Orleans
Sullen remains incarcerated without bond.
Raymond Bernard Harper was booked on a charge of:
*Possession of Marijuana – Third Offense (Felony)
Harper was released on a $10,000 bond.
