FINANCIAL CRIMES – CAIRON JAMAL LEBLANC
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Cairon Jamal LeBlanc, 23, of 2034 Roberts Avenue, Gonzales, LA, on felony financial crimes dating back to a July 21, 2021 incident.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint at a Belle Rose retail establishment in reference to a fraudulent check that was submitted for cashing.
The deputy determined that an individual had presented a check for cashing from a Sorrento business. The Belle Rose business representative cashed the check after the suspect presented identification which was deemed valid.
When the business submitted the check to their financial institution, the check was returned as fraudulent.
Deputies were able to identify the suspect as Cairon Jamal LeBlanc. Warrants were obtained for LeBlanc’s arrest.
Cairon Jamal LeBlanc was arrested by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 22, 2022. LeBlanc was transferred to Assumption Parish and booked into the detention center on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 on charges of:
*Bank Fraud
*Monetary Instrument Abuse
*Theft valued at $680.88
Cairon Jamal LeBlanc posted a $10,000 commercial bond.
