ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN THINGS, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – SKYLER CRAIG GIBSON

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Skyler Craig Gibson, 30, of 6235 Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, LA on felony drug charges arising from a theft investigation.

On Thursday morning, deputies were dispatched to a Bayou L’Ourse retail outlet in reference to a possible stolen all-terrain vehicle being at that location. The deputy made contact with the complainant who indicated the all-terrain vehicle resembled one recently stolen in Terrebonne Parish.

Deputies located the ATV and at the time was being operated by an individual now identified as Skylar Craig Gibson. During the investigation, it was determined that the ATV was stolen from the Terrebonne Parish area.

Skyler Craig Gibson was arrested. During a pat down search incidental to arrest, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine was seized. Additionally, suspected marijuana was seized from the personal possession of Gibson.

Skyler Craig Gibson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Illegal Possession of Stolen Things
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana

Skyler Craig Gibson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
