OBSCENITY – FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER

SUBJECT: OBSCENITY – 2 COUNTS – FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER, CHRISTOPHER DRAPER
Belle Rose – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Christopher Draper, 27, of 800 Catalpa St., Donaldsonville, LA on felony sex crimes arising from an incident that occurred at an area production plant on Thursday.
Deputies responded to the complaint which was forwarded to detectives. An investigation commenced with the witnesses being interviewed. Based on several interviews, detectives were able to identify the suspect now identified as Christopher Draper. Detectives determined that Christopher Draper had exposed himself in a lewd and/or lascivious manner to at least two (2) victims at his place of employment.
Based on the completion of the investigation, detectives requested warrants for Draper’s arrest. Christopher Draper is also a prior convicted sex offender from Ascension Parish. Draper was also required to register in the parish he is employed in which is Assumption Parish. Draper failed to register in Assumption Parish as required in January of 2022.
Christopher Draper was arrested and booked into the APDC on charges of:
*Obscenity – 2 counts
*Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender
Christopher Draper remains incarcerated in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
