SEARCH WARRANT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – LIONEL JONES
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Lionel Jones, 41, of 141 Bertrand Street, Bertrandville, LA, on felony charges after deputies and narcotics agents executed a search warrant at a residence on Bertrand Street in Bertrandville.
As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, agents developed information indicating that Lionel Jones was involved in illegal drug activity in the Assumption Parish area.
During the investigation, agents established probable cause sufficient to apply for a search warrant. That warrant was approved.
On Wednesday afternoon, agents executed the search warrant at 141 Bertrand Street. As a result of that search, agents seized methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia. Additionally, agents and deputies recovered evidence of monetary instrument abuse.
Lionel Jones was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Monetary Instrument Abuse
Lionel Jones remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
