SEX CRIMES UPON A JUVENILE
JUVENILE SUSPECT’S AGES 14 AND 10
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the filling of verified complaints for first degree rape against two juveniles, ages 14 and 10, both from the Belle Rose area in connection with sex crimes upon a child under the age of 10.
On October 20, 2023, deputies and detectives responded to a complaint regarding a series of rapes upon the child under 10.
The 14-year-old initiated the sexual attacks against the child on multiple occasions at locations in the Belle Rose area.
During one of the incidents, the 14-year-old encouraged the 10-year-old to participate in the sexual attack.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the 14 and 10-year-old juveniles were charged by verified complaint.
The 10-year-old suspect was released to a parent pending judicial proceedings.
The 14-year-old is being held in a juvenile detention facility pending court proceedings.
