SIMPLE BURGLARY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travis Nathaniel Williams, 24, of 6012 Grant Road, Paincourtville, LA on felony charges arising from an ongoing burglary investigation near Paincourtville.

On January 23, 2024, Sheriff’s deputies initiated a burglary investigation in the 200 block of LA 403 in Paincourtville.

The victim / complainant reported the theft of several firearms from his residence on or about January 21, 2024.

Detectives commenced an investigation which led them to multiple locations relative to this investigation. As a result of this incident, detectives identified Travis Nathaniel Williams as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.

Travis Nathaniel Williams was arrested on Monday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Travis Nathaniel Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

Detectives and deputies were able to recover some of the stolen goods at a location on Thomas Street near Paincourtville.
