SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bruce James Hebert, 34, of 5485 Highway 308, Napoleonville, LA, 70390, on drug law violations after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Sunday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to the Simoneaux Street areas near Paincourtville and located the subject of the complaint, Bruce James Hebert. Hebert’s vehicle had been parked in a remote area on private property for a lengthy time period and without authorization.
Hebert’s actions were suspicious in nature and at some point, deputies requested and were granted permission to search Hebert’s vehicle.
During the investigative process, deputies seized a quantity of suspected meth-amphetamine and assorted paraphernalia.
Bruce James Hebert was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Driving Under Suspension
*No License Plate
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker
Bruce James Hebert remains incarcerated pending bond.
