TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dustin M. Lovell, 23, of 119 Sandy Lane, Franklin, LA, on drug and traffic violations after being stopped by deputies late Wednesday.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle in the area of LA 662 and Pond Drive in Bayou L’Ourse commit a traffic violation.

The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and was able to identify the driver as Dustin M. Lovell. The deputy interviewed the driver and at some point, the deputy conducted a pat down search of Lovell. When Lovell emptied his pockets, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of Suboxone, a Schedule III drug without a prescription.

Dustin M. Lovell was arrested on charges of:

*Possession of Suboxone
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*No Proof of Insurance
*Turning Movement and Signals Required

Dustin M. Lovell remains incarcerated with a bond set at $15,000.
