TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – TYREK HENRY JOHNSON

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tyrek Henry Johnson, 22, of 509 West Sixth Street, Donaldsonville, LA, arising from a traffic stop on Highway 308 near Labadieville.

Late Thursday night, a uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation on LA 308 in Assumption Parish and proceeded to conduct a traffic stop.

The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Tyrek Henry Johnson. Upon interviewing Tyrek Henry Johnson, the officer observed in plain view, a rifle inside the vehicle and suspected marijuana.

Tyrek Henry Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of”

*Illegal Carrying of Weapon in Presence of CDS (Felony)
*Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense
*Headlights Required

Tyrek Henry Johnson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
