TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Anthony Joseph Triche, 44, of 242 Highway 401, Napoleonville, La., on felony drug law violations following a traffic stop late Monday.
An I.C.E. deputy working assignment near the 4700 block of LA 1 in Napoleonville observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the violator.
The deputy interviewed the driver, now identified as Anthony Joseph Triche. The suspect appeared to be acting nervously and displaying signs consistent with illegal drug activity.
The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During that process, quantities of meth-amphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seized.
Anthony Joseph Triche was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Failure to Use Required Turn Signals
Anthony Joseph Triche was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
