TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – JARON S. GRAY
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jaron S. Gray, 36, of 3201 Anitioch Street, Paulina, LA, on felony drug law violations arising from an early morning traffic stop near Labadieville, LA.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a south bound vehicle commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the violator and made contact with the driver, now identified as Jaron S. Gray.
During the officer / violator interview, the deputy noted conditions consistent with illegal drug activity. At some point during the initial interview, the driver voluntarily surrendered a quantity of suspected marijuana and consented to a search of his vehicle.
During the search, the deputy recovered a dose of Hydrocodone.
Jaron S. Gray was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Oxycodone
*Prohibited Acts Schedule I
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Speeding – 71/55 MPH
Jaron S. Gray was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
