TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
WESLEY RICHARD BASS and MARCI LYNN PREMEAUX
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Wesley Richard Bass, 24, of 920 Cottonwood Drive, Morgan City, LA and Marci Lynn Premeaux, 34, of 527 N. Main Street, Thibodaux, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop in Bayou L’Ourse early Sunday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver and in doing so, observed two passengers moving about inside the car.
The deputy made contact with both passengers, now identified as Marci Lynn Premeaux and Wesley Richard Bass
The deputy located a metal container near the passenger side of the vehicle containing suspected meth-amphetamine.
At the conclusion of the on-scene investigation, Wesley Richard Bass and Marci Lynn Premeaux were arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center for processing.
Once at the facility, a more invasive search revealed that Wesley Richard Bass was in possession of additional meth-amphetamine, heroin, marijuana and MDMA (Ecstasy).
Wesley Richard Bass was booked into the detention center on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine – 2 Counts
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Possession of Marijuana
*Taking Contraband to/from a Penal Institution
*Fugitive Warrant – St. Mary Parish
Marci Lynn Premeaux was booked on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice
Premeaux posted a commercial bond of $30,000.
Wesley Richard Bass remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
