TRAFFIC STOP – FUGITIVE WARRANT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Murphy Lee Wesley, 19, of 108 Marshall Lane, Napoleonville, LA, on a felony fugitive warrant following a traffic stop on Monday evening. A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle in Napoleonville with an equipment violation and conducted a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Murphy Lee Wesley. The deputy noted multiple violations on the vehicle. At some point it was determined that Murphy Lee Wesley was wanted on a fugitive warrant from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on a charge of felony theft.
Murphy Lee Wesley was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrant – Ascension Parish – Felony Theft
*Issued Citations for – Owner to Secure Registration, Insurance Security Required,
Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles
Murphy Lee Wesley was transferred to the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.
