TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS / AGGRAVATED FLIGHT
RAMONE RICHARD RONDENO

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ramone Richard Rondeno, 30, of 3303 Highway 1 South, Donaldsonville, LA.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle near LA 1 and LA 70 with an equipment violation and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The suspect fled on LA 308 towards Donaldsonville at speeds in excess of 100 mph. The deputy gave chase and at some point, the suspect vehicle hit a spike strip deflating the tires. A passenger with a gun fled on foot and remains at large.

The driver was taken into custody. He was identified as Ramone Richard Rondeno. He was booked on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Speeding – 100 Plus / 55 MPH Zone
*Tail Light’s Required
*Obstruction of Justice
*Probation Violation – Armed Robbery

Ramone Richard Rondeno remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

Deputies are investigating the identity of the passenger.
