WARRANTS – FAILURE TO APPEAR – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – OPERATION “TAKE A RIDE”

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of David M. Harris, III, 28, of 5022 Highway 1, Apt. 3, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple failure to appear warrants and an outstanding warrant for Distribution of Marijuana related to Operation “Take a Ride”.
On or about November 12, 2020, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents secured a warrant for the arrest of David M. Harris, III. The accused, David M. Harris, III was identified as trafficking illegal narcotics in the Assumption Parish area in the summer of 2019.
As a result of the investigation, agents developed probable cause sufficient to obtain an arrest warrant for Harris.
David M. Harris, III fled the area at the time.
On Wednesday, David M. Harris, III was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Distribution of Marijuana
*Failure to Appear – Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Assumption Parish)
*Failure to Appear – Possession of Marijuana, Driving Under Suspension, Use of Certain Telecommunication
Devices for Text Messaging (Assumption Parish)
David M. Harris, III remains incarcerated with bond set at $20,000.
