FAILURE TO APPEAR – FELONY CHARGES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mercedes Elizabeth Usey, 22, of 120 St. Charles By-Pass Road, Thibodaux, LA, on failure to appear charges connected to the burglary of a Labadieville business.
Mercedes Elizabeth Usey was arrested on July 18, 2022 in connection with the commercial burglary.
As a result of that arrest, Usey was ordered to appear in court on November 7, 2022. Mercedes Elizabeth Usey failed to appear resulting in an arrest warrant being issued for her arrest on November 9, 2022.
Mercedes Elizabeth Usey was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court – Assumption Parish on November 7, 2022 for arraignment on counts of: Accessory After the Fact to Simple Burglary and Obstruction of Justice.
Mercedes Elizabeth Usey remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
