TRAFFIC INCIDENT – PURSUIT – CHAD A. FALCON
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chad A. Falcon, 56, of 101 Oleander Drive, Donaldsonville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from an attempted traffic stop on LA 70 near Maryann Street early Saturday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver engaged the deputy in a pursuit situation westbound on LA 70 toward Belle River. The suspect vehicle crossed the Belle River Bridge then turned north onto LA 997 toward Bayou Pigeon. At some point the suspect driver began throwing contraband from the vehicle. Iberville deputies were able to successfully spike the tires of the suspect vehicle ending the pursuit and taking the driver, now identified as Chad A. Falcon into custody following a physical confrontation.
Chad A. Falcon was transferred to a hospital for treatment of minor complaints and was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail as a fugitive from Assumption Parish.
Chad A. Falcon was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Saturday evening on charges of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Crack Cocaine
*Aggravated Assault Upon a Peace Officer
*Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence
*Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
Chad A. Falcon was ordered held without bond.
