TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOLATIONS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dylan Eric Polisso, 30, of 9015 Fox Run Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 East on Monday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Dylan Eric Polisso and engaged the driver in an officer / violator interview. It was determined that Dylan Eric Polisso was driving without a driver’s license.
At the completion of that interview, the deputy believed that further investigation was warranted.
The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the scene. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of illegal controlled dangerous substances.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marijuana, Adderall, assorted drug paraphernalia, alcoholic beverages and a large caliber handgun.
Dylan Eric Polisso was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Adderall
*Possession of Marijuana
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Driver Must be Licensed
*Speeding – 71 MPH / 55 MPH Zone
Dylan Eric Polisso remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
