SEARCH WARRANT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Keith M. Morris, 63, of 103 Grisaffe Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on multiple drug and gun law violations arising from an ongoing parish wide narcotics investigation.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division developed information that Keith M. Morris was engaging in illegal drug activity in areas of Assumption Parish. Agents initiated an investigation and developed probable cause sufficient to apply for a search warrant.
On Monday evening, the Narcotics Division along with other sheriff’s office resources converged on a property at 103 Grisaffe Lane and executed a search of the premises.
During that search, agents seized crack cocaine, tramadol, assorted drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm.
Keith M. Morris was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Crack Cocaine
*Prohibited Acts – Schedule IV Drugs to Wit. Tramadol
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of CDS
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Keith M. Morris remains incarcerated with bond set at $20,000.
