ANIMAL COMPLAINT – OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brandon Paul Ohaver, 24, of 118 Sycamore Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony charges arising from a complaint of a dog running at large.
On Saturday morning, deputies were dispatched to a Birch Street address near Labadieville in reference to an animal complaint. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that a dog from the Sycamore Street area had chased a resident and was very aggressive. Based on the information provided, deputies were able to locate the dog’s owner on Sycamore Street and were able to contact the individual.
While interviewing the owner of the dog, a male subject approached deputies in a hostile manner and refused to identify himself. That individual now identified as Brandon Paul Ohaver remained belligerent and uncooperative.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Brandon Paul Ohaver was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Disturbing the Peace
Brandon Paul Ohaver posted a $5,000 commercial bond.
The dog’s owner was issued a summons for allowing a dog to run at large and released with a court date.
