TRAFFIC INCIDENT – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Michael Nathan Holly, Jr., 23, of 105-A Bayou Road, Donaldsonville, LA, on multiple charges arising from an attempted traffic stop turned pursuit late Thursday on LA 308 near Napoleonville.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a northbound vehicle near the LA 402 Bridge with an equipment violation and attempted a traffic stop of that vehicle. The suspect continued north engaging the deputy in a pursuit situation all the way into Ascension Parish. The driver crossed over to LA 1 and continued north into Donaldsonville. The suspect was eventually stopped and taken into custody in the 100 block of Lucaini Street.

The suspect, now identified as Michael Nathan Holly, Jr. was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail as a fugitive from Assumption Parish.

On Friday, Michael Nathan Holly was transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*No Driver’s License
*Speeding
*Switched License Plate
*Tail Lamps Required

Michael Nathan Holly, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
