FINANCIAL CRIMES – FELONY – JULIE D. TROSCLAIR
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Julie D. Trosclair, 70, of 137 Riverbend St., Belle River, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a financial crimes investigation.
On or about September 19, 2022, deputies responded to a call in the Belle River area in reference to a fraud complaint. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that a former domestic acquaintance had used his identity illegally and without his authority to apply for a loan. The complainant further advised that the person had also forged his name to documents to procure the loan.
Detectives continued the investigation and were able to identify, Julie D. Trosclair as the suspect.
Detectives followed the document trail and were able to confirm that a loan in the amount of $4086.50 was obtained illegally by Julie D. Trosclair and the proceeds were used towards personal expenses of a relative.
As the conclusion of the investigation, Julie D. Trosclair was arrested on warrants charging her with:
*Felony Theft
*Identify Theft
*Bank Fraud
*Computer Fraud
*Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds
Julie D. Trosclair remains incarcerated with bond set at $62,500.
