SUSPICIOUS PERSON / DRUG LAW VIOLATION
TRAVONTA DAMAL AUSAMA – I.C.E. ARREST
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travonta Damal Ausama, 29, of 413 Owens Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges following an incident Thursday morning in the area of Franklin Street in the village of Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed an individual in the early morning hours walking in the area of College and Franklin Street. As the deputy approached the subject, he fled on foot.
At some point, the suspect, now identified as Travonta Damal Ausama was located inside of a residence. Ausama exited the residence upon order of the deputy and was arrested. During a search of a backpack possessed by the suspect, a quantity of methamphetamine was seized.
Travonta Damal Ausama was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Resisting an Officer
Travonta Damal Ausama remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
