TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST – ALEXANDRIA BOYD
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Alexandria Boyd, 25, of 5541 LA1, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop near Paincourtville.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Alexandria Boyd and engaged in an officer / violator interview. The deputy noted factors consistent with illegal drug activity during the interview process. It was determined that Alexandria Boyd was in possession of a quantity of suspected heroin. The heroin was seized as well as some assorted drug paraphernalia.
Alexandria Boyd was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
Alexandria Boyd remains incarcerated with bond set at $15,000.
