WARRANT EXECUTION – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
KAITLYN MARIE LANDRY, GARY COX, SR. – I.C.E. ARRESTS
BAYOU CORNE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Kaitlyn Marie Landry, 26, of 6716 Highway 1 South, Belle Rose, LA, and Gary Cox, Sr., 27, of 112 Creole Street, Belle Rose, LA, on multiple felony charges after deputies executed a search warrant near Bayou Corne late Tuesday.
Deputies assigned to the I.C.E. Unit went to 1501 Highway 70 South in an attempt to execute
felony domestic related charges on Gary Cox, Sr. Deputies made contact with Kaitlyn Marie Landry at which time Kaitlyn Marie Landry advised that Gary Cox, Sr. was inside the residence.
Deputies requested consent to search which was denied by Kaitlyn Marie Landry.
Deputies secured the location and then applied for a search warrant for the aforementioned location. The warrant was granted.
Prior to execution of the search warrant Kaitlyn Marie Landry was asked if there were any firearms inside the residence, at which time she replied yes. Kaitlyn M. Landry and Gary Cox, Sr. are both convicted felons and are prohibited from possessing firearms.
Deputies executed the search warrant and did locate Gary Cox, Sr. and arrested him. Deputies also located marijuana, Heroin, assorted paraphernalia and two firearms.
Kaitlyn Marie Landry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon – 2 Counts
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Aiding and Abetting Others to Enter / Remain on Premises Where Forbidden
Gary Cox, Sr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation with Child Endangerment
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish on February 22, 2022
*Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon – 2 Counts
Kaitlyn Marie Landry and Gary Cox, Sr. remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
