FUGITIVE WARRANT – HOME INVASION, CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY – CHAZ E. COLLINS
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chaz E. Collins, 31, of 219 Brule Guillot Road, Thibodaux, LA, on a felony fugitive warrant following a traffic stop near LA 308 and LA 70 Sunday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Chaz E. Collins and engaged the driver in an officer / violator interview.
During a warrants check, the deputy determined that Chaz E. Collins was wanted by the Gonzales Police Department on a fugitive warrant charging him with:
*Home Invasion
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Criminal Trespass
Chaz E. Collins was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the aforementioned charges. Chaz E. Collins remains incarcerated pending transfer to the Gonzales Police Department.
