TRAFFIC STOP, FELONY GUN LAW / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS –
ANTHONY JEROME GLASPER, JR., TAMYRON CARVELL GLASPER,
MARKEZ LAKEL MILLICAN AND HECTOR SANCHEZ
AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Anthony Jerome Glasper, Jr., 29, of 3625 Iroqudis Street, Baton Rouge, LA, Tamyron Carvell Glasper, 27, of 3625 Iroqudis Street, Baton Rouge, LA, Markez Lakel Millican, 24, of 325 Carney Road, Baker, LA and Hector Sanchez, 25, of 474 Boudreaux Road, Greensburg, LA on felony gun and drug law violations arising from a traffic stop on U.S. 90 near Amelia early Monday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed an eastbound vehicle with equipment violations and conducted a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Anthony Jerome Glasper, Jr. and ordered the driver and three passengers, now identified as Tamyron Carvell Glasper, Markel Lake Millican and Hector Sanchez to remove themselves from the vehicle.
The deputy noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The deputy also noted the presence of a handgun on the front passenger floorboard of the vehicle.
The deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted and requested the presence of a K-9 unit at the scene.
The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive to the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A Subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of multiple large caliber handguns as well as suspected marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Jerome Glasper, Jr., was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*No Proof of Insurance
*No Vehicle Registration in Possession
Tamyron Carvell Glasper was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Markez Lakel Millican was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Hector Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Marijuana
Anthony Jerome Glasper, Jr. remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
Tamyron Carvell Glasper remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
Markez Lakel Millican remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
Hector Sanchez remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
