TRAFFIC STOP – PROBATION / PAROLE VIOLATION

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Allen Joseph Landry, 23, of 102 Cyril Street, Pierre Part, LA, on a probation / parole warrant following a traffic stop in Pierre Part on Wednesday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 70 in the vicinity of Paul Street, commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Allen Joseph Landry and engaged Landry in an officer / violator interview. The deputy determined that Allen Joseph Landry was driving under a suspended driver’s license. The deputy conducted a warrants check on Landry which also determined that Landry was wanted on a probation / parole warrant from the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
Allen Joseph Landry was on probation for a felony conviction of Possession of Methamphetamine.
Allen Joseph Landry violated the conditions of his probation resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on October 3, 2023.
Allen Joseph Landry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Wednesday evening on charges of:
*Probation / Parole Violation
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Turning Movements and Required Signals
Allen Joseph Landry is being held without bond on the probation / parole violation.
